Hi, I’m Alanna! I’m a certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor and Intentional Living enthusiast. My passion and my purpose is to empower and motivate others to live their most joyful life. Yoga as a philosophy has been a strong force for change in my life, and I have it seen its power of transformation. What is monotasking and why do I need it?
Monotasking is the practice of doing one thing at a time, with full attention on the task at hand.
Monotasking is the antidote to “busyness” – it is the antidote to stress and overwhelm.
We have gotten so used to multitasking that we don’t even realise the impact it takes on our stress levels, our peace of mind and even our productivity! Many of us are racing along, feeling like we can’t keep up with our lives.
You can’t keep speeding up forever. Eventually you have to learn how to slow down – and you’ll be amazed at the results when you do. I had to see it to believe it (how can slowing down make you more productive?!) – but Monotasking literally changed my life, and I haven’t looked back.
